After negotiation, The Services at Junction 28 on the A14
Known as Cambridge Services, Have agreed to us using the CAR park [not HGV or COACH] as our RVP.
[Their address is: Huntingdon Road, Cambridge, CB3 8WU]
The Services are only a few miles from the Cemetery and have all the usual services, ie, food, drink, fuel as well as having a Motel [in case anyone wants to come down/up the night before].
The car park can probably accomodate 600 plus motorcycles utilising the 150 plus parking bays.
It is now intended for the 'Ride' to proceed from these services at 11.30am. Hopefully, under the auspices of Cambridge Police, but we will have our own marshalls available [volunteers please contact me].
Should numbers get beyond the capacity of Cambridge Services [BOY !! do I
hope that is the case]. Then we will contact Peterboorough Services on the
A1 to get permission to use them as a back up.
Directions to the sevices are as follows:
FROM THE SOUTH
Along the M11 [Northwards] until it joins/becomes the A14. A short distance along the A14 is Junction 28 and the services.
FROM THE NORTH
Come along the A! and turn off at the A14 [south] Junction. Continue on the A14 to Junction 28 and the Cambridge services.
